As a member of the JYSK team you are responsible for the day to day operations of the (Eastern/Western) Distribution Center (DC).

This role provides support for all operation functions, while maintaining total inventory integrity for JYSK's DC. Collaborates with the AGR team and the warehouse team to ensure accurate receiving, shipping and processing routines are followed and quality concerns are addressed. Works to exhibit JYSK's core values to run the business and generates cohesiveness to solve problems in the supply receiving/shipping processes.


Shipping, Receiving and Quality Control – 70%

You are responsible for assisting the Distribution Manager in scheduling and organizing all work activities and ensuring that all aspects of Inventory Control are followed:

  • Creating picks, drops and assigning them to Colleagues
  • Monitoring the daily productivity of order pickers and feedback to the Supervisors
  • Communicating with the Administrative Coordinator, Supervisors and Distribution Manager regarding issues and needs of each day as they relate to shipping, receiving and quality control
  • Assisting with inventory investigations in all aspects from picks to loading
  • Preparing and printing all item labels and verification for all inbound stock
  • Evaluating and processing warehouse salvages & damages
  • Executing all write-offs including reversals for QC and Photoshoot
  • Ensuring pallet counts for all outbound loads are accurate; and analysis required to fit appropriately in the given equipment
  • Following the Procedure manual for all warehouse processes

Operational tasks - 30%

  • Performing daily tasks as required including picking; loading; pallet checks; pallet replenishment; put a way’s and receiving.
  • Performing inventory related investigations as required.
  • Mentoring colleagues on warehouse processes - picking; loading; pallet checks; pallet replenishment; put-away and receiving.
  • Contributing to an environment where JYSK culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers.
  • Collaborating with the Administrative Coordinator to develop reporting and analysis for productivity; inventory; receiving discrepancies; load reports and load evaluations.
  • Communicating with Administrative Coordinator, Supervisors and Distribution Manager on a daily basis

Work requires climbing up and down ladders, and working at heights.
