The Social Media and Web Assistant will maintain a professional and consistent brand voice across all digital channels while supporting the growth of JYSK ecommerce sales and driving brand awareness within our markets.

The Social Media and Web Assistant reports to the Director of Ecommerce and will work closely with members of the team. Responsible for JYSK social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn and potential other accounts); posting content on social media channels, Work with Customer care and HR about social media projects

You will also support the Web master by preparing, maintaining, updating, and uploading of web-based and digital media content when required


As a Social Media and Website Assistant you will be responsible for:

  •  Growing our current social media networks; -
  •  Posting and managing content created by our team; -
  •  Building strategies to maximize our online reach; -
  •  Developing partnerships with key influencers; -
  •  Managing marketing campaigns throughout our networks; -
  • Monitoring engagement across respective social channels and engaging in conversations/encourage interactions.
  • Managing the organic content distributed across JYSK social media platforms
  •  Working with JYSK Campaign Managers to execute on content and advertising initiatives
  •  Creating consistent posts targeted at specific audiences and demographics on each social platform
  •  Building and engaging with social media community
  •  Managing and maintaining post schedule across platforms
  • Executing on planned social post initiatives
  • A social media practitioner with insight into the differences and advantages of each social platform, including: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn
  • Understanding of different approaches required to target specific demographics through organic content creation and execution on each platform
  • Understanding of content that generates impressions and engagement across different social media channels
  • Experience in documenting, tracking and measuring performance on social media channels Understanding of the social media ecosystem and infrastructure
  • Paid social advertising experience an asset, but not required
  • Have a great attitude and is a self-starter
  • Thrive in a rapidly changing environment


The Right Candidate has:

  • Minimum of two years of relevant social media and/or web-based experience
  •  Bilingual position (English / French) at an advanced level (preferred)    
  •  Impeccable copy-writing and communication skills   
  •  High standards for quality assurance across all channels, including tone, voice, and style
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and bring ideas to the table
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience designing, uploading, and maintaining practices;
  • Experience monitoring and analysis of content, comments and/or inquiries;
  • Ability to coordinate workflow and providing administrative support;
  • Strong knowledge of social media networks
