As a Store Manager in Training for JYSK, you will be responsible for:

  • Building a high-performing team through sound recruitment, onboarding, coaching and development of all Colleagues. 
  • Ensuring Colleagues are delivering outstanding customer service, while ensuring the customer is the driving force behind all store decisions and activities.  
  • Providing direction, guidance and instruction to all store Colleagues as required.
  • Working alongside store team members, energizing them to achieve sales growth by driving store KPI’s (key performance indicators). 
  • Identifying top talent, leveraging the strengths of strong performers. 
  • Analyzing store results identifying areas of improvement and developing action plans to address specific items.   
  • Monitoring store monthly and annual expense budgets. 
  • Greeting and assisting customers in a way that models exemplary conduct to other staff.
  • Ensuring store conditions are consistently upheld to established standards.
  • Adhering to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.  
  • Being flexible to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.

Work requires moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity.  While performing duties of this job, the Colleague will regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch.  Colleague will frequently lift, sort, carry, and place merchandise and supplies of varying sizes weighing up to 20 kg without assistance and over 20 kg with team lifting.  Work requires climbing up and down ladders, and working at heights.
